Services offered
Preventative
Prevention is the best treatment. We recommend regular cleanings and use topical fluoride varnish in the office for patients with a history of cavities or sensitivity.
Restorative
We offer fillings, crowns and bridges. We believe in conserving your natural tooth structure by doing fillings or on-lays (conservative crowns) instead of full crowns whenever possible. We use only tooth-colored materials for our fillings, no mercury amalgam. Our crowns are typically made with zirconia or porcelain, no metal.
3D CAT scan imaging
We have a dental cone-beam CT machine which makes 3D images of the jaw. This allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for implants and root canals. We're proud to offer this advanced service in-house.
Emergency
We will make time to address any emergency situation you might have and can respond after hours as needed.
Implants
Implants are the gold standard for missing tooth replacement. We often use 3D imaging and computer-designed guides for the surgery to assure a successful result. Dr. Haley has advanced training in implant cases and can refer to other specialists if indicated.
Pediatric
While our focus is not pediatrics, we do welcome your entire family to our office. Dr. Haley has extensive experience seeing children and two of his own.
Cosmetic
We offer veneers, cosmetic fillings, and clear aligner orthodontia for minor tooth straightening. For whitening, we offer chair-side whitening with immediate results or custom trays to use at home when convenient.

Irina once trained as a classical musician on the piano in Ukraine. Fortunately for us, she then brought her talents to the dental world. She raised her son in Oakland and now lives with her husband in Moraga. She has traveled extensively and has a collection of magnets in the office to document every locale visited. She still plays the piano, likes going on walks and enjoys reading. She has been at our office for 34 years!

Kit has a BA from UC Davis and got his Degree in Dental Hygiene from NYU. He has lived for many years in Hong Kong as well as New York City, but more recently has slowed down to enjoy the island pace of life on Alameda with his wife. He likes travel, movies and the Golden State Warriors. He has been at our office 21 years.

Dr. Haley is originally from Seattle and got his BA in Chinese History at Wesleyan University, CT. He lived for two years in China and Indonesia, then moved to the Bay Area for dental school at UCSF.
After graduating in 2014 he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency and has continued to expand his dental skills with additional training in implants, clear aligners, oral surgery and root canals. He also serves as an expert on cases brought before the Dental Board of California, helping to ensure patients receive proper dental care.
After spending 4 years working in community clinics, he transitioned to private practice while continuing his service at the community clinic in Oakland Chinatown part-time. He enjoys doing excellent dentistry, clearly communicated with all options discussed.
He lives in South Berkeley with his wife and two young boys, Meru and Jasper. He bikes to work every day and in his free time he likes climbing and mountain biking. He speaks Mandarin with some fluency, but only when talking about teeth.

Alberth Chong grew up first in Zhongshan, China and then Hong Kong before moving to the Bay Area to raise her three daughters. Besides excellent dentistry, she enjoys hiking and gardening. She's a member of two hiking clubs and says that her "front yard" is Coyote Hills and her "back yard" is Lake Chabot.
